Elizabeth-Ann C. Wieber is Director of Advocacy at Global Health Visions, LLC, where she provides senior-level guidance to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on policy and advocacy for HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. In this role, she also serves on the private foundations board constituency to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
Prior to her work at Global Health Visions, she spent four years at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she was director of media relations for the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention. Previously, Elizabeth-Ann was an independent consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in its Global Health Policy and Advocacy division. She began her career in Washington, D.C., advising senior officials on a U.S. presidential campaign and at the Democratic National Committee, as well as in the White House in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
She holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she also worked for a member of the UK House of Lords, and a Bachelor of Arts from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. Elizabeth-Ann and her husband reside in Brookhaven, near Atlanta, with their two-year-old daughter.
